Can’t Delete Audio from Bin – “Mac Error -50”
I’m just finishing up a project, and I’ve bounced a couple of .aiff’s from Pro Tools and brought them in to Avid. I’ve been updating the sound, so I’ve had to replace the mixes. Everything goes fine, until I try to delete an old version of the .aiff. It is not in use in any timeline, but when I go to delete it from the bin and choose to delete the master clip and all resolutions, I get the error “Mac Error -50 (error in user parameter list).” The only option is to click OK, which just returns me to my project as normal, audio still in the bin. The only way I can delete a clip is if I reimport a new one prior to deleting the old one, but then in that case it does not even ask if I want to delete the media associated with it, only the master clip (and it deletes that no problem).
This is not a workflow-breaking problem, just an inconvenience (and possibly a waste of hard disk space if it isn’t deleting the media associated with the clips).
I’m running:
Avid 5.0.3.5
Mac OS 10.6.5
Mac Pro 5,1 (Mid-2010, 12-core)Thanks in advance for any help,
John
