  • Can’t consolidate/transcode usable 4K footage

I am trying to trim a Premiere CC2015.3 project shot mostly in 4K and send the consolidated/transcoded footage files along with the trimmed project file to animators.
In the transcode window, the format presets I’m offered are MXF OP1a and DNxHR/DNxHD MXF OP1a, the latter having worked for me when I was working in regular 1080p HD. Unfortunately, this time with 4K footage, consolidation doesn’t work at all with MXP OP1a while the DNxHR/DNxHD files wouldn’t play back when I open the newly trimmed project. There is also a QuickTime option, but I hesitate to even try that since I’m on a PC and the original footage isn’t GoPro .
I’ve had issues with Premiere’s Project Manager before, but I never got stuck this badly. Anyone have a similar experience, and is there a way to create a more compatible transcode Preset?
Thanks for any help you can offer.
