Can’t Click a Keyframe Precisely
I’m pretty frustrated here – but this should be an extremely simple question where I’m missing something small. Coming from 3ds max and AE, I’ve never seen a keyframing issue like this before.
As I edit keyframes, I place the playhead on the key. However, when I make adjustments on a keyframe in the Effect Controls, it either places a new key on the left or right of the one I want to edit. Even if I zoom in ALL the way right on a keyframe, it STILL puts one on the left or right.
What’s Extremely odd is that I can only place the playhead on frame increments (which is logical), yet I’m able to place a keyframe BETWEEN frames. This can’t be right…
In AE, I can clearly tell when I’m on a keyframe because it places the red line dead-center of the diamond. In Premiere, it is literally impossible to set the marker in the center of a keyframe diamond at times. No matter how precisely I’m clicking in the center of the diamond (even fully zoomed in), it always places the marker just a pinch to the left or right of the keyframe. Please help me before I punch a hole in my screen. 😛
Below are 2 videos demonstrating the issue:
