Can’t Capture with HVR-M15N

I still think it’s an HDV / DV mismatch in your iLink or Output settings. If your machine is in Auto, switch that to either DV or HDV manually and manually set the iLink to be DV if you’re working in DV or HDV if you’re working in HDV.

That’s pretty all I can offer in addition to all the other tips here.

Thanks Walter…I hope I’m not wearing your patience thin….I’ve looked everywhere and cant find it in iLINK.

I called Sony and they told me that letterbox downconvert is only avaialable from the Analog outputs of this deck…can this be?

If you have a solution for me, I’d love to hear it. Otherwise, I may have bought a $2000 boat anchor.
