    Cant capture video from JVC Br50 deck to Final cut pro 5.04

    I can get audio and playback control of the deck but the window is black.
    HDV is grayed out in AV settings. I have tried all settings, no luck.

    Hello,

    If you go to the Apple site, and upgrade to version 5.1.4 you should be OK. I’m also using the HD-50 deck, and apart from the odd error message all is working well.
    Any further problems let me know.

    The deck works fine in 5.04 (thats what I’m running)

    You might need to update quicktime or re-install it.

    ahh, doing so now. can I get the easy setup or capture settings for FCP?
