    Hey i’m using a Sony HVR M1fu deck capture HDV 1080i60 and 50 occasionally, being shot on a Sony HDR-FX1…and i am unable to batch capture, it holds up forever with out quiting. When i capture now it will make new clips at TC breaks, or if the camera is turned off, but it doesn’t start again right after the break it takes it’s time and loses media. help?

    me too! here’s my issues:

    So as we all know FCP + HDV isn’t the best thing in the world.

    Here’s the issue(s):
    1. On the initial capture there’s a “TC” break every 10 seconds (even if the camera never stops running throughout the 63 mins of tape). We’re not capturing at full rez either everything’s in a Photo Jpg compression.

    2. When uprezzing: when you click batch on a single clip FCP will say “2 Clips Ready” when there’s one clip. Then on the batch it’ll try and capture the same clip twice before giving up completely. If you sit there and click continue about 8-10 times it maaayy just work. Sometimes there’s no issue at all.

    3. Sometimes it sees the deck… sometimes it doesn’t. We have several almost new decks and sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t.

    The machine is new top of the line, plenty of memory and space. Does anyone else have the same problems? Have you found a way around it besides not using HDV?
