I’m fairly new to Motion, so I’m sure this falls into the “missing an important piece of info” category, but I can’t seem to figure this one out on my own.

I have a simple particle emitter, “Pop Star”, that I imported from the library. The emitter is like a mini sparkle explosion that I want to appear at a moment of impact in the video.

The problem is, the source of that impact moves a bit during the video, so I want to keyframe the particle emitter so that it moves as well.

I can drag the particle emitter group around the screen with absolutely no problem, but the second I try to RECORD the movement or keyframe it, I suddenly can’t move it at all. Instead, when I try to drag the emitter while keyframing or recording movement, it turns into control points that seemingly don’t affect the movement of the emitter at all.

Is there something about particle emitters that prevent them from being keyframed the same way one would keyframe another object of clip?

Any info here would be very appreciated. Thanks…
