  • Can’t add more than 20 audio tracks when adding video tracks

I’m creating a video collage with more than 50 concurrent videos for a friend with Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2018. It has successfully added 20 tracks for both video and audio automatically.

But now it only adds video tracks when I create a new track. I have expanded the audio section and there is definitely no audio track #21 when I add video track #21.

    What could be the issue?

Premiere can support a lot more than 20 audio tracks. If dragging media into your timeline isn’t working as you wish, just add the empty tracks first. When you right click in the video track section and select Add Track, it will add a video track. When you do this in the audio track section, it adds an audio track. In either area, if you select Add Tracks instead of Add Track, you can enter the number of video and audio tracks you wish to add and where they are placed. You may find it easier to create the tracks first when dealing with so many tracks and then just dragging your media into them where needed.
