  Canopus Edius Broadcast trial version available

  Canopus has now made Edius Broadcast available as a 30-day trial version. Broadcast = Edius + Varicam + P2 + DVCPRO-HD support.

  I just installed it, and so far I gotta say the MXF support is way better than FCP or Avid. I was also quite impressed that I could get full frame rate playback on my 2.0ghz Pentium M 760 laptop; Avid delivered about 3 fps on the same computer, and Raylight got about 12fps. Haven’t figured out how to get full-screen playback yet though!

  Anyway, looks promising as an HVX PC-based editor. Here’s the download link:
