CanonE1 plug-in crashes Log and Transfer FCP7
Hey guys, I’ve been log and transferring footage on FCP 7 and it’s been crashing every 20-30 clips or so. It’s only been crashing through log and transfer, and the problem report blames the CanonE1 plug-in (although I have my reasons that-that is not the real reason). I’ve reinstalled final cut, then reinstalled the plugin several times. I’ve repaired disk, repaired permissions, restarting the pram, etc.
I’ve used plug-in manager and disabled all plugins. I’ve deleted all the quicktime components that have nothing to do with apple… I’ve updated final cut. Trashed my preferences repeatedly. ETC

By the way, I’m using your tutorial for log and transfer. Thanks a bunch for that. -
The EOS Log and Transfer plugin isn’t compatible with Mavericks. It was written for 10.8…and FCP 7 was discontinued 2.5 years ago, and the plugin for it as well. The plugin hasn’t been updated for Mavericks, nor will it be. That’s the problem with new OS and old software…compatibility issues.
