  Canon XL1 looking pixelated when importing to Mac using Premiere Pro CS4

  I’ve just recorded a day’s worth of footage, I plug into my Mac through firewire, and open Premiere Pro. Much to my dismay, I discover that the footage is coming up all pixelated. If you zoom in to even 100%, you can see the pixels all over the subject’s face and surrounding objects. Way way more than you might expect. It’s obviously less quality than a good phone camera.

  Any thoughts as to why this might be, or how to correct it? I plugged into a TV and the footage looks fine, no sign of the same pixelation.
