    I just bought an XL-1. It’s what my small company could afford. There are some problems I’m noticing however.
    When I shoot in 16:9 there is a thin space on the sides when imported into AE. When captured in Premiere it doesn’t fit the screen.
    Also the coloring isn’t as good as I thought it would be. The latter is not that important but I’d like feedback on the above.

    The XL-1 doesnt shoot true 16×9, it compresses the image so it looks 16×9. As for importing the footage into AE it wont fit to the ends but you can scale it up to 102% without any noticable scaling. But further more if you are going to broadcast or will only be showing the project on tv’s the edge wont been seen anyway because of it being out of action and title safe areas
