  Canon xh-a1 3:2 or 4:3 in Final Cut Pro

  I recently got an xh-a1. I am trying to digitize my first videos. FCP defualts to 3:2 aspect ratio for DV. My camera shoots at 4:3, yet FCP still captures the footage at 3:2 even when I change my sequence settings to 4:3. What is going on here? How do I capture at 4:3? The footage is noticeable stretched.
