Canon XF Log and Transfer Error
Hi, all–
I’m working on a project that has mostly been shot with P2 Cards. This weekend, we had two shoots going at one time and had to also use, for the first time, the Canon XF300. Back at our office now, I am trying to ingest that footage into FCP and having problems.
I am the person who usually handles the transferring of media from cards to back-ups to FCP – however, I could not be in two places at one time, and I was on the shoot with the P2 folks. I acquired the Canon XF plug-in from a friend and installed on my computer. Now, when I try to ingest with log and transfer, I get this error message:
“[REEL] contains unsupported media or has an invalid directory structure. Please choose a folder whose directory structure matches supported media.”
Since I was not on this shoot, I have no way of knowing if *everything* was transferred from the card to the back-up field drive, and since I haven’t worked with the XF300 before, I am not familiar with what the contents should look like – thus unsure if anything is missing that would cause this error message to pop up. I have used the drop-down preferences menu in log and transfer to select Canon XF Plug-in (it’s there). Still not working.
Any advice?
