    Canon XF clip duration Issue

    I am currently working on a project using an all tapeless workflow with a C300 as a primary camera on Avid 6.5.4 OSX Lion. My projects is 1080p/23.98. All of the clips AMA volume link fine, but then when I go in and set the source tape name, the durations of each clip changes and is causing syncing/grouping issues. Has anyone else seen this problem?

    I’ve never had that problem, but I would start by consolidating/transcoding your media to an external edit volume. Then edit your tape name info.
    It could be an AMA issue. I would never edit any important/large projects using AMA clips.
