In case you haven’t heard about this yet, canon is supposed to release a free plugin for Final Cut that will allow you to Log & Transfer your DSLR video into Final Cut in the ProRes format.

This will make life easier and hopefully hassle free. Now if they would also include the 5D 29.97 conversion from 30 fps in that package, everyone would be smiling!

Canon’s new plug-in software for Final Cut Pro will be available for FREE download on Canon web sites around the world in early March 2010.

Looking at my calendar, it’s March 15. There goes the ‘early’ part of our show. I hope this comes out this week, I have a shoot tomorrow!
