Could anyone suggest a place to have a custom cable made to connect a Canon 2/3 inch lens controller (zoom rocker and start/stop) to the Fujinon lens port on the EX-1? I know both Varizoom and Bebob (Germany) now make controllers for the EX-1 but I own a couple of the Canon contollers and I think they are probably a better product (and paid for!). I’m told the standard Fujinon lens controllers won’t work with the EX-1 lens.

I’ve explored this issue with my Varizoom Rock controller which uses an 8-pin connector to my HD110.Even if I could get an adapter cable to mate this controller to my EX1, the performance wouldn’t be very acceptable..sluggish and slow. Bite the bullet and gat a lens controller designed for the EX1. My choice is the Lexar controller.

The circuitry is different and they don’t adapt. The new controllers are only around $300.
