  Canon Legria HF G10 compatible with Sony Vegas?

  Hello Everyone,
  I am thinking of upgrading my camera to a Canon Legria. Up to now I have been using a Sony XR 155, 2 years old. Can anyone reassure me that the Canon will be fully compatible with Sony Vegas Movie 10?

  A second question. My Sony in HD shoots at 1920-1080i/24 Mbps while the Canon in 1080/50i. Apart from a difference in quality, which is why I am upgrading, will this make a problem for rendering?

  One criticism of this camera is that it does not shoot in 1080/50p mode, which is seen as preferable (I don’t quite understand the difference yet) but would a camera that did shoot in this mode be uncompatible with my Sony? I have a lot of archive footage so must find something that is.
