Canon image stabilizer/strange rolling shutter artifacts
I’m working with some Canon dailies shot off the back of a speed boat. The image shows artifacts quite like a rolling shutter- objects become taller and shorter as the camera tilts up and down. However the camera appears to be fairly stable.
This sounds like it was caused by an image stabilizer acting in conjunction with the rolling shutter? Has anyone else seen something like this on Canon DSLRs?

Yes, but, nothing like what you describe, Canon Produce a f2.8 EF IS 70-200mm L lens which would apparently get rid of any panning issues, i use the IS 28-135mm f3.5 lens for most video work at 1/50 sec, it is usually very smooth. I have used this camera for 2.5 years without nay rolling shutter problems.
