  canon hv30 HDV25 issue

  I live in Europe and have just shot some reels in HDV25 and have started to capture them in FCP 6.
  Now, I have become confused because the clips are recorded as 50i.

  The camera manual says”Video shot with the HDV 25 HDV(PF25) standard will be recorded on the tape as 50i”

  The clips seem not to be interlaced but is this standard a true HDV25 standard or something else? The 50i confuses me…And FCP made some hints that the clips need to be rendered. I will find out later…
