    Happy Friday Everyone!

I have a feature project shot 1080p24 on the Pani HVX200. P2 cards were imported into the FCP 5.1.2 project with the following prefs…

    Capture Preset: HVC Pro 1080i60
    Sequence Preset: HVC Pro 1080p24
    The clips were reversed telecined.

Now I would like to shoot some additional footage with the new Canon HV20. They offer 1080i60, 1080p24, 1080f24?, but instead of memory cards, it’s recorded onto HD minidv tapes. I was intending on shooting in 1080p24 and also reverse telecine.

My questions are: Can I follow that same workflow with the canon (hd minidv) as I did the Panisonic? Will the media work in about the same way? Or will there be a distinct difference between the P2 media and hd tape (such as frame grouping, etc) Or is there something else I need to consider or have missed?

    Thank you.

    Randy
