There new driver 1.5 supports the canon hv20, so I installed it and tried to capture footage from the camera. It did capture the hdmi stream but the image has the colors skewd. It looks like raw images from the genesis and s2k cameras, has anybody had the same problem with the canon or for that matter any hdmi camera!

Just to update you on the situation, I tried another canon hv20 I just bought and it exhibited the same situation, there seems to be a purple-magenta tint in the avi file. the camera captures well coming out of the component to a bmd multibridge extreme, but I bought the intensity card just for capturing from the hv20 camera. If you guys want I will post some images so you can see what I mean.

I read in articles that HDMI cables are varying in quality, I bought a 6ft monster cable for $99 and was wondering if this could be the problem. Are there any cables out there that is recommended for camera to card connection.

I just found a way to get the card to recognize the canon hv20, first turn off computer and camera, second turn on camera then computer, third check the camera in output to make sure hdmi says 1980 x 1080i on output. Everything works even with cheap radioshack cables. Now the only problem lies in the motion jpeg compression not recnogized properly on other computers with the 4.9 drivers from black magic.
