Canon HF10 Rendering problems
Hello all,
I’m new to the forum, hope you guys can help me out.
Hope this is OK here in the Vegas Basics section. It seems like a pretty basic thing to me, at least!
I’m having some issues when rendering my footage shot from a Canon HF10. I specifically mention the camera because I was using a Panasonic HDC-SD9 and having ZERO problems. I’m now using a aCanon HF10 and having a devil of a time.
Basically, what’s happening is that no matter what I set my project to or my render to, I’m getting issues in the rendered files when I play them in WMP. I can play the raw MTS files in WMP and the footage is fine, so it’s NOT the HF10. As soon as I take the footage into Vegas and render it, then play in WMP, I’m getting all sorts of artifacting, studdering, some studdering sound, etc.
This footage is all shot at 1920×1080 at 60i. I’m setting up my project using the default: HD 1080-60i (1920×1080, 29.970 fps)
For render, I’ve rendered in just about everything you can imagine, just to try and get the darned thing to play smoothly! So far, I’m either getting really “studdery” video with a lot of visual noise, or a smooth video and weird audio playback.
Any suggestions? I can provide a sample of this problem if anyone is interested. I’m really getting frustrated as this is TOTALLY sapping my productivity. I’m beginning to regret my decision of going with the HF10 over the SD9! I like the HF10 better, but with the SD9, my productivity was much better.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Joe
