  Canon G30 or XA20 to Ninja Star or Ninja 2?

  Hi fellow cows,

  just wondering if it’s worth it to use the HDMI out on these cameras straight into an Atomos Ninja at Prores 422 directly, allowing me to not have to use AVCHD or MP4 (I never use MP4 anyways)

  I “like” the results of going from AVCHD to Prores when I convert the files, but it takes a little while, which I don’t really mind too much, but the question is more about the quality difference?

  It is nice to have the files “ready to edit” – but, again, just wanted to see about anyone that has used the XA cameras with this, or in my case the HF-G30 (basically the same as the XA20)
