    Hi everyone,

I’m looking for an external audio recorder for Canon 5D mark III which will able to lock LTC of Canon 5D mark III during audio recording so that i can synchronize the external recorded audio with the Canon video files using time code, i know there are software available in the market for synchronization but i want a complete device which can record audio wireless & can able to gen-lock with canon DSLR.

Please let me know if u have any good solution for this kind of shooting workflow.

    Thank you.

I’d be curious too. Right now I do it the old fashion way by using the slate or clapper and syncing.

I have been using the Tascam DR-60D with canon 5d3 multi cam setup. It’s not gen locked but it’s easy to sync looking at the waves. I have used wireless mic and shotgun to tascam and line feed out to dslr mic in. Although the dslr now records a cleaner audio, it is not as good as the tascam’s. I have also tested the zoom h6. The tascan is sway getter to work with and -30db less noise.
