I am trying to capture on PP and it is giving me the message “cannot find inpoint, increase pre-roll”

I am not setting in and out points, I want to capture the whole tape. I put 30 seconds of bars on the tape before I recorded so the pre-roll shouldn’t be an issue…

has anyone got this before or knows what the deal is?

I just got a new computer and PP is working fine on it, I have opened past projects from external HDs and the audio re-conforms, but the project works….

I don’t want to have to capture everything on my old computer and transfer it to my new one….. I have 2tb internal storage on the new one and would like to capture straight to that….

new computer is a quad core 2.4 ghz processor w/8gb ram running on windows vista 64 ultimate vers.

footage was shot on canon xh-a1 – shot in frame mode 4:3 standard def.
I tried capturing with xha1, gl2, and a dvx 100a with no luck

tried setting df mode to DF and NDF in capture settings and project settings- no luck

tried making in and out points- no luck
    Tried setting pre-roll to 5 and 7 seconds…. nothing

any help would be GREATLY appreciated…..
