Canon C100 no timecode on FCP
Every time i transcode the AVCHD footage to ProRes, from the sd card shoot with the Canon C100 the timecode starts on 0, if i playback the clips on the camera i can see there is timecode, i have the camera on Rec Run, how can i get the timecode on my clips after transcode?

Hmmmm… I know there is better support for that format in FCP 7. FCP 6 might have an issue reading the metadata properly, as that camera and it’s AVCHD offshoot format came out years after FCP 6…it came out after FCP 7 was made. FCP 7.0.3 might be the only version that will read the metadata properly. I’ve worked with footage from that camera and had it bring in the timecode…but I’m using FCP 7.
You can add timecode after the fact by using the MODIFY option…but getting that to match exactly what the camera has will be tricky. You have to manually type in the number in the modify menu…
