    Hi,

Ive been given a ton of 7D footage to edit…but only in a folder which is a copy from the original card…it includes all the original folders though ie DCIM and MISC and files ie both .mov and.thm etc…

In the tutorials I’ve watched on this, the original card from the camera is being used which has made me wonder whether i can use this plug-in with just this copied folder…

In one tutorial I watched someone copy the footage from the original card, to a folder on the desktop, then make a disk image of the folder and used this duplicate disk image for fcp log and transfer…

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fqTxX1zamo

If I create a disk image from the folder I have, do you think the Canon Plug-in will work with it ok?…Or will I have problems somewhere down the line as I’m not using the original camera card?

Any advice would be much appreciated

    Thanks,

    Mike

    Watch this tutorial:

As long as you have kept the entire file structure intact, you are fine.

The latest version of plugin lets you transcode 5D/7D thru L&T without any issues with only one folder containing .mov and .thm files. I do it all the time. No-brainer.

I have located the plug-in on the Canon site, however it is an update – could you suggest where I can download the actual software?
