Canon 700d slow motion
Hi
I require a dummy explanation to this please
I’m going to be shooting a 3 minute video on canon 700d dslr
Which will switch between regular 23 fps shot on 1080 and then 720p 60 GPS
For slow motion. How would I create a sequence that would blend these
Together with the right gram size. Is it better for to shoot the entire video on 1080 23 and
Then slow down footage in premiere pro where I need to.

What is your final output? If it is 720 you can import the 1080 footage into a 720 timeline and scale down. If you are mastering in 1080 you would import the 720 footage and it would have to be scaled up.

Hi i was wanting it to be 1080 as final. but i might stick to 720p at 23fps and 720 at 60fps and do a 720p output project as it is a youtube video the quality would still be good. however would you rather scale 1080p down or scale 720 up. Im struggling a little because i don’t want to do a 1080p 23fps and slow it down in premiere pro I’ve done that before and its resulted in stuttery footage.

Timeline – 1080p24 (23.98)
Regular motion shot at 1080p24.
Slo-mo shot 720p60. When ingesting footage you’ll have to do 2 things to this footage: (1) Interpret your 60p footage as 23.98 (provides you about a 2.5x slow down), and (2) once you drop the footage on your timeline you’ll need to scale it up 150% like Warren notes.It’s pretty straight forward. I would not shoot 1080p24 and try to slow that down. It’ll look bad as you noted already. Shoot 60, interpret that inside Premiere Pro, then lay it on your timeline and scale it, then sit back and enjoy your masterpiece!
