Canon 6D File is missing some of the video but not audio.
I was wondering if anyone encountered this and knows if it can be fixed.
The original file created a thumbnail, has the correct file size for the length and all the audio waveforms are there.
its a 7 minute clip, at around 4 1/2 min the video is just gone.
i imported it to FCPX and got no errors while transcoding.
The SD card has been wiped many times since. so there is no chance to revisit it on disk. -

So the video stops playing outside of FCPX and inside FCPX?
If there’s no video data in the original video file, don’t think you’ll be able to get it back, as it’s not there.

The video gets stuck on a frame as it still plays. Audio is also gone at this point. It continues to play, i dont get an error or anything, i didnt get an error in fcpx when i imported and transcoded.
i am trying aero Quartet now to see if they can fix it.
its wedding video, its the ceremony and cuts out right before vows. Luckily i had my Zoom externally pick up the audio so i can fake it if i have to. The next file pick up as they exchange rings.Aero Quartet wants $99 to fix a file which in most cases is king of ludicrous but in this case, the ceremony, vows. Ouch!

sorry, i actually reposted the same question, this thread can be deleted, logged in with facebook by accident. also the audio too was gone too at the same point. i got confused because my external audio was synced to the clip when i made a multicam clip

i ended up paying the $39 euros to Grau GmbH
That will cover 5 file recoveries, it fully recovered my file.
there are 2 little video glitches right at the end but the rest of it is all there.
