I only recently got aae and I’m finding it really hard to find good render settings.

I upload my video’s to youtube, but the quality just isn’t as good as the raw files. I shoot at 1280 x 720 59.94fps h.264 (.MOV), I only make small videos (about 2-4 minutes long) but the file size is just too large and the quality is terrible. I’ve only had aae for 2 days, and its really confusing when rendering, could someone please explain to me what i’m doing wrong?

Is there anyone who has the same camera and edits their footage in aae? Do you do something to the clips before you put them in aae? Could someone give me their render settings to try out?

Any help will be much appreciated !!

    Hey Tom,

I always render out of AE as uncompressed .avi (or if you’re on Mac a .mov with Animation codec at 100% quality).

This will be under the default preset “lossless.”

Then once your file is rendered out in all of its huge glory you can re-compress it in Adobe Media Encoder or something like that.
