This way…tapeless workflow with FCP, including a link to the Canon EOS plugin to allow the Canon camera to be seen in Log and Transfer.

Or you can use Magic Bullet Grinder…

    Shane:

The Canon EOS Utility has a feature to back up the card as a disk image .dmg file. Ever used this? Any pros/cons to it? My first though is you won’t see the actual files captured.

    Nope.

[Jim Edds] ” Any pros/cons to it?”

Well, when you unzip it it will be the full card structure, but it won’t be inside a backup folder, with a unique name you give it that becomes the REEL name, that is VERY helpful for tracking footage.

That’s a very good point. Think I’ll pass on the canon image files for now.
