    Hi

I would like to know if it is possible to sync outboard audio to 5D footage using the multiclip function. I have tried but the stereo channel from the 5D remains in the clip, replacing the Channel 1 & 2 from the outboard audio (only channels 3 upwards remain in the multiclip).

I’d like to be able to create self contained clips because the method of syncing on a sequence becomes a pain when editing, especially later on in the edit when I need to match frame back to original clips.

Any thoughts? I’m on Media Composer 5 at the moment, but I expect it will be the same for previous versions.

While I’m on the subject of working with sequences as clips, has anyone found a way to combine several tapeless clips into one large clip by any other means than using a sequence as a ‘virtual’ clip? And I’m not talking about creating mixdowns or anything like that…more like some kind of multiclip feature where the clips are grouped end to end.

    Cheers

    Franco
