Cannot view thumbnails in import window
Hi there. Using FCPX and when I’m in the import window I can only view the files in list view, not thumbnails. I’m unable (as far as I know) to import a range this way and I have to import the entire file. The button used to change from thumbnail/list view has disappeared. I’m trying to import from an external hard drive. Any help would be appreciated.

Oh sorry, some were a Canon 5D MarkIII, others on a XA10.

If files are .mov already, you won’t be able to bring in a subset (range).
Only camera formats that need rewrapping allow you to bring in a range.
