    Hi guys,
I’m running AE4. I click on Text Tool to write text in my Comp but for some odd reason I cannot view the text in my comp.
I tried changing text color and still cannot view text.
I tried creating text on top of clip with new text layer, still cannot view.
When I click in the Comp (Black Screen), I cannot see the cursor blinking either.
Down in the timeline, my text layer is active. I can’t think of anything else

Your font size might be too small or something so try resetting the character in the Character Palette menu. That sets everything back to default except for the color.

    Ok guysfirst of all thanks.
I’ve found that the text for some odd reason way off Black (Comp) screen.
I have to click on multiple view to see it and then pull it back down.
I’m also trying to set the kerning and other adjustments in the text properties.
Anyway, I think I got it now.
I thank you all for the help.

Yes … if you reset (to zero) all the text controls that offset things, you should be cool.

It sounds like you have it.
