  cannot view file

  I have received a complete InDesign file via email. It was created in CS3 and that is what I have opened it in. I can see the pages, blank, and if I drag the mouse to highlight I can see the bounding boxes containing the info but it is blank. If I move the scroll bar up and down I can then see the info…but once I turn lose, it disapperas to blank pages again. Is there a setting I have incorrect?
