Cannot turn off Net Notify, Vegas Pro 14
I bought Sony Vegas Pro 14 a few months back from a Humble Bundle. Love the program, but about a month or two ago I started getting random popups when I turn on my computer telling me to upgrade to the newest version of Vegas for a cheaper price. Considering I just got Vegas Pro 14, and from a Humble Bundle no less, I don’t want to spend the money on upgrading to Vegas Pro 16. (The popups occur ever two weeks or so.)
Apparently the way you turn off these ads is by disabling Net Notify in preferences, but I can’t. I go into preferences and there is no option at all related to Net Notify. I don’t want these intrusive ads any longer. Another solution is to check a box that says “do not show this message again.” The ad doesn’t have that as you can see below.

This isn’t triggered by the Net Notify setting but by an own Magix app running as background process. To get rid remove “Magix Connect” from the Windows Apps list.

Thank you, that seems to be what is causing that. Uninstalled.

Magix should not be doing this…. Anyway seems they have now placed Magix Connect as an option
