    Hello everyone,

I have been using Premiere Pro for a while now. I am currently editing a short film. The footage and files are spaced across two hard drives. One in my computer the other portable. However, the portable one I had to borrow from a friend. So I ended up just recently buying portable high drive for myself. So I copied the files over to my new hard drive and went to open premiere and as I expected it said “where is…_____ file?” So I went through found a fair few of them and it was all good. Just as I had it. Then I clicked “save” and it came up, “sorry Premiere pro has to shut down but will attempt to save. Sorry for the inconvience.” And it didnt save! I even waited for a while, still didnt save. So I clicked ok. And down it went.

So I tried it a few more times, same thing happened. I then opened a new project and brough in some footage. Did a few things to it, saved no problems.

I then went back to my normal project I had that kept. I went through all the finding of the stuff again, created a new time line even, still crashes and refuses to save! Someone please help me! What do i do???

The easiest thing to do would be to rename and letter designate your new hard drive to match the one you replaced (that is – the “borrowed” drive was named ‘backup 5’ and its letter designation was V – go into disk manager and rename the new drive as “backup 5” and change its letter to V – Pro should then find everything just where it wants it to be.

    slainte,
