Cannot save a project
Hello colorists! 😉
I’we been lurking around this part of forum for some time but this is my first post so please be gentle. I just switched to DaVinci, before I mainly did CC in After Effects and little bit in Color but recently I started to work in a new studio and now its time for some serious business on Resolve+Tangent Wave. Expect more newbie questions from me 🙂
Ok, my first issue was yesterday on my first session with client (luckily friend so it wasn’t disaster). Problem is with saving project, everything works fine until I try to grab a still or save a grade to memory bank. After that I get pop up “Failed to save project (Error: Failed to save the current project) and I cannot save project any more. I can do “save as” and I can save powergrade stills but normal stills or memory bank causes that error. We tried logging in as different users (on Mac and in Resolve) and tried another footage but the error is same. Is that some kind of problem with database? -

Post your config and resolve version. What’s the place for media? Did You repair permissions? Did You tried to reinstall Davinci?

Mikhail if I’m correct (I’m not in the studio right now) its latest 8core Mac Pro (2.4ghz), 24gb ram, gt120+fx4800 and internal raid. 10.6.6. SL and 7.1.1 Resolve, permissions repaired but I didn’t try to reinstall it, we had to finish some projects today so I’ll try that tomorrow.

Problem solved! 😉
I’ve exported projects for backup, removed PostgreSQL folder and reinstalled Resolve. -
….i don’t know why, but suddenly, i’ve the same problem: it’s not possible to save or export the project.
where did you removed the PostgreSQL folder ? i couldn’t find it and even after reinstalling resolve, the problem still exists 🙁
(it would be great to avoid the terminal-thing…)
