i rendered a QuickTime movie (no compression) of a project i did in After Effects on a Mac, with QT7pro, i believe. Several months later i’m trying to open in on a PC with QuickTime 7pro and i get the -2048 error saying it’s not a movie. It has a .mov extension. What might be the issue? How does the “uncompressed” quicktime work- is it a special codec or none at all? i no longer have access to a mac or After Effects.

I’m just learning this as well. Some codecs just aren’t in the PC quicktime suite it seems. I use “animation” codec to go between PC and Mac. They both like it.

i thought the “animation” codec was the one i used, because there were no compression options. Is that the one?
