Cannot get CS3 serial
Posted by Jaromir Pesr on April 16, 2007 at 9:52 amHi,
I’ve downloaded CS3 beta wondering of new features. But when trying to get serial number I failed. I’ve got Production Studio Premium with just one serial for all software. When trying to enter this serial number to adobe labs I was told that its incorrect. Where I can find right serial number to proceed?
Thanks for any help

April 16, 2007 at 10:17 amfrom the adobelabs site:
“Important note about serial numbers: Your After Effects 7.0 serial number contains 24 digits. The After Effects About box does not list the complete number. Please locate your number in your After Effects 7.0 packaging. Read more information about how to find your serial number. Please note that serial numbers are platform-specific. Volume licensing customers, those wishing to switch platform (Windows to Mac or Mac to Windows), or those experiencing problems with serial numbers should
send a message to aftereffectscs3preview@adobe.com
Please do not call Adobe customer service or technical support as they will not be able to assist you.”

April 16, 2007 at 12:03 pmI’m in the same boat. When I tried to e-mail the address listed, it was returned back to me as undeliverable. BTW, I used my 24 digit serial, not the splash screen one.

April 16, 2007 at 2:17 pmSame here. Production Studio Premium, email returned.
I can only assume that those parts of the adobe labs site aren’t wired up yet.

April 16, 2007 at 6:56 pmusing my mac afx 7.0 serial number i was able to get a new 24 digit temp serial# from adobe labs but after i downloaded and installed the new beta afx, when i try to enter the new number it says it is not a valid serial number. the app will apparently only run for two days in this mode.

April 17, 2007 at 1:33 amI just got the official response from Adobe:
“There are several known issues with serial numbers right now, please
check the Adobe Labs forums for updates.1) Volume License serial numbers are not accepted by the web site. We
are implementing a manual process for Volume License Serial numbers but
it is not complete yet.2) CS2 upgrade serial numbers are not being accepted.
3) Production Studio Serial numbers are not being accepted.
Please enjoy the software in trial mode, it is functionally equivalent.
We expect to have these issues ironed out before the trial expires. Thanks,
The After Effects Team”
