cannot even do a most simple render – Vegas pro 8.1 AVCHD
(sorry I may have misposted this elsewhere!)
hi – got a very simple requirement. And I have the world’s most simple setup…..
Sony HDR-TG5V Camcorder, creates many .m2ts files, 1920i.All I want to do is combine them together for now!! That’s it.
So I drop them on the timeline and go to render.
The rendering stays at either 0% forever if advances a little and freezes.
And before you ask I have a BRAND NEW 2 day old HP Eilite desktop with Quad i7 and 12GB RAM, Vista 64, Fresh Sony Vegas 8.1 64-bit install, etc. Nothing else is installed.
I’ve tried rendering a few clips …or many. They all stay at 0% or say 12%.
I am applying ZERO transitions, effects or anything….

Andy, I’m a complete newbie to HD, so I can’t really answer your question. Just thinking aloud, though, which rendering option are you trying? Have you tried just outputting to AVI, which should work on any computer? Also, I have read some posts here and at other sites that seemed to indicate there might be some issues with 64-bit processors and Vegas. You might want to google “sony vegas 64-bit”, or start with this one…
