Hi, I just started learning Premiere (I usually use Vegas Movie Studio). I am using a tutorial on Lynda.com. But I can’t drag clips onto my timeline! I’m stuck. My cursor changes into a closed hand with the “no” symbol. What am I doing wrong? I’ve done a lot of googling but have found no answers. I posted a screencast the problem here:

    Thanks for any help.

    Your timeline says No Sequence.
    Make a sequence first:
Right click in clip in Project Window: Make new sequence from clip.
    That should do the trick.

Did you ever figure this out? I’m running into this same issue.

Hey I did end up solving my problem! Right click right above the time-code in your sequence, and hit “Clear In and Out”. Worked for me.
