*Cannot connect to background processing* error message
Hey all, I’m trying to compress a 75 minute video out of Final Cut using Compressor. I can successfully create a batch with the necessary settings and destinations, but when I try to submit the batch, the error message *Cannot Submit Batch: unable to connect to background processing* appears. I clicked on file/Reset Background Processing… and recreated the batch, and tried to submit the batch again, to no avail.
Any help with troubleshooting this?

A typical problem and one of the reason I, like many, gave up with compressor. You could try and check you Qmaster settings and as a last resort reinstall compressor.
