  Cannot compress out of FCP

  i already asked this question once on this forum but i received no answer. maybe someone new will read it or maybe someone knows where i could get assistance.

  here it is.

  when i try to export a sequence using compressor or simply export a quicktime movie with settings other than current, fcp crashes. however, exporting a quicktime movie with current settings or using compressor with any quicktime file works fine. this is a new problem, i was able to do those things before.

  i have cleaned out the caches folder and deleted preferences both for final cut and compressor. no result. i am running fcp 5.1.4 with all the updates for fcp studio on MacBook Pro.

  does anyone have an idea?
