  • Cannot capture analog XLR audio input using Multibridge

    Hi,

I am trying to capture external audio using the analog XLR audio inputs on the Multibridge extreme, but can’t seem to get any signal in.

I’ve set up both the OS X audio system preferences and the DeckLink pref, to use analog audio (from multibridge), but no signal comes in.

I need to use the VoiceOver feature in FinalCutPro to lay over audio over the video, but so far I can’t seem to get any analog audio from the MultiBridge.

I’ve read that the Multibrridge Extreme requires a token video source to be supplied to capture audio channels accurately. If so, it is a currently limitation, is it by design or is it a bug (with a potential firmware fix).

Any solution or workaround? Or do I simply need to feed a video signal into the multibridge which capturing the audio?

    Please let me know,

    Guillaume

    Hi

To capture audio channels you need to supply a token video source for the audio to be embedded to. The token source should be the format you are working with. Blackvideo or sync as input via the SDI would work OK.

email support@blackmagic-design.com if you have any more questions.

I have the same problem, and have no video source. How could I put black video? Could you explain this step by step?
