    Hey guys,

one of our producers using the CatDV desktop version 9.0.6 tried opening CatDV and received the below message:

He says he has not upgraded his laptop or anything about his computer. We have tried checking and unchecking the 32 bit option that the error talks about. He is able to watch other Quicktime .MOVs on his computer no problem. He has also tried the Quicktime Java fix that people address in other threads. Upgrading is not an option, as that is definitely above my pay grade to decide! Even if the trial version worked, it’s just at this point our senior people aren’t ready to upgrade.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks

Can you post the OS version?

If it’s older, you can select the 32-bit option in the Java Preferences (in utility folder.) That may have been swapped by some weird thing.

Not sure which OS, but he tried the Java Preferences. Looks like we might just try uninstall, reinstall. Thanks Bryson!

Any luck on resolving this issue? I just upgraded to a new computer (clean CatDV install, not a migration) and am experiencing the same issue. A reinstall did not correct it for me.

    Mac OS X 19.9.5
    CatDV 10.1.2
