cannon xha1s on fcp7 importing…and exporting
On what setting do I put fcp to import HD video and also what setting do I use to export the video with.

IMPORT: Choose the HDV 1080i60 Easy Setup. As that is an HDV camera.
EXPORT: Well, that’s up to you. Where is it destined to go? DVD? YouTube? Tape for broadcast?

DVD isn’t HD…. But for that you use Compressor and the DVD presets.
YouTube…there are Compressor presets for YouTube too. For the web you export as H.264.
