    Candlelight effect in motion 3

    hey everyone, first post here.

    could someone give me some pointers for creating a good candlelight lighting effect in motion 3? It’s a virtual antique book and i’d like to have each page lit by the candlelight source. i’ve been playing with animating fall off and intensity and creating a small wiggling motion path in 3d space. is there anything else i should be considering to achieve as much realism as possible?

    If we don’t see the flame just the light from it I think the ticket is to focus on a random change in the lights opacity. Which it sounds like you are already focusing on by adjusting the intensity.

    thanks for the reply stephen. yes i am getting quite close with animating intensity and fall off. it’s just mimicking the slight and random movement of the source that i’m having trouble with and was wondering if there are any combinations of behaviours that others have found useful. thanks again…..
