  • Can you toggle off the missing footage colour bars?

Posted by Mag_44 on December 6, 2005 at 8:17 pm

Although I know I can simply copy a sequence with missing frames over another identically named sequence of all black frames I was wondering if there’s any way to toggle off the colourbars that show up when there is missiing footage.

Because often the big loud colour bars are more of a hassle than a black frame which I may be able to get away with from time to time.

Anyway I just thought I’d ask.

    thanks!

Why don’t you just turn off the visibility of the layer?

Because I’d still like to see the frames I have.. i just would prefer in some cases to have missing frames represented by a simle black frame.

By the way I assume by your post that you can’t actually do this?

And there’s no way to choose snother kind of porxy to go in place of the bars?

    oh well.

    It would be nice

    Thanks for your reply 🙂

SImply make a black image in photoshop and replace the footage with the picture.

Ah, I misunderstood. I thought you had a whole layer (ie., a clip or piece of footage) that was missing, not just single frames out of a sequence of frames.

Yeah, the only thing you can do (as mentioned previously) is replace the missing frames manually.
